Operations Supervisor

REMONDIS is seeking a committed and experienced Operations Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day activities of our high-paced operations team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the allocation and supervision of daily runs, monitoring performance, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards, and providing guidance and support to frontline staff.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and implement daily runs and route optimisation in conjunction with Operations staff, Drivers, and Sales representatives.
Assist in ensuring cost effective and safe waste collection services in accordance with Chain of Responsibility requirements.
Ensure all Operations are supervised effectively.
Enhance new business by liaising with existing and new contacts.
Ensure repeat business and business growth is achieved through proactive leadership and customer responsiveness.
Ensure customer service levels expectations are met and /or exceeded.
Effectively communicate with Customers, drivers to ensure collection services and equipment deliveries meet and /or exceed the customers’ expectations.
Work with team to ensure positive teamwork and communication is achieved at all times.
Ensure allocation of work is conducted in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible.
Ensure the Operations department is running in an effective and productive manner.
Ensure the Vehicles are being maintained within the required to achieve the required safety standard and service delivery.
Assist Management in identifying areas for investment that will improve efficiency and revenue.
Proactively manage unplanned emergencies and advise clients of any planned/unplanned delays.
IDDR Review Daily (Drivers Run sheets) in a timely manner.
Skills and Experience
Proven leadership or supervisory experience in operations, logistics, or fleet management
Strong understanding of service scheduling and dispatch
Excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset
Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
A solution-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills
High attention to detail with solid administrative and reporting capabilities
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience in the waste industry is highly regarded
