Packing Operator - Immediate Start

Heidelberg West Location | Ongoing Monday to Friday Work | Weekly Pay

A leading national food manufacturer is seeking reliable and hardworking Packing / Production Operators to join their team in Heidelberg West.

This is an ongoing casual opportunity with an immediate start, working Monday to Friday on day shift (7:00am to 3:00pm). Successful candidates will have the opportunity to secure long-term ongoing work with a well-established and growing food manufacturing business.

Pay Rate

• Day Shift (7:00am - 3:00pm): $33.85 per hour + super
• Weekly Pay

About the Role

Working as part of a fast-paced production team, you will be responsible for packing chilled food products, conducting quality checks, maintaining hygiene standards, and ensuring production targets are met safely and efficiently.

This role suits candidates who enjoy hands-on work, have strong attention to detail, and are comfortable working across different production lines as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Packing finished products into cartons and packaging
• Conducting weight checks and product quality inspections
• Setting up production lines at the start of shift
• Completing cleaning and hygiene tasks throughout production
• Assisting with maintaining production flow across multiple lines
• Working closely with Team Leaders and Warehouse staff
• Following food safety, quality, and workplace safety procedures
• Reporting equipment issues, hazards, incidents, or non-conforming products

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in a production, manufacturing, or packing environment is preferred but not essential
• Understanding of food manufacturing, HACCP, GMP, or food safety practices is highly regarded
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment performing repetitive tasks
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
• Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods
