We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Painter to join our professional construction team.

Key Responsibilities:

·Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, filling, patching, and repairing imperfections.

·Protect floors, fixtures, furniture, and other surfaces from paint and preparation materials.

·Select and prepare paints, primers, sealers, stains, and other coating materials.

·Mix and match paints and coatings to achieve the required colours and finishes.

·Apply paints, primers, stains, varnishes, and other protective coatings using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and other appropriate tools.

·Paint interior and exterior surfaces, including walls, ceilings, doors, frames, trims, and other building components.

·Apply appropriate preparation and coating systems to different surfaces, including plasterboard, timber, masonry, metal, and other construction materials.

·Ensure surfaces are properly prepared and finished to achieve a smooth, even, and high-quality result.

·Identify and rectify defects such as cracks, peeling, uneven surfaces, and other imperfections.

·Perform touch-up, maintenance, and repainting work as required.

·Follow project plans, specifications, manufacturer instructions, and relevant Australian building requirements.

·Maintain painting tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.

·Follow workplace health and safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment.

·Work collaboratively with site supervisors and other trades to complete projects efficiently and within scheduled timeframes.

Skills and Experience:

·At least 3 years of relevant industry experience as a Painter.

·Demonstrated experience in residential construction, renovations, or commercial painting projects.

·Good knowledge of surface preparation, painting techniques, coatings, and finishing methods.

·Ability to read and interpret building plans, specifications, and work instructions.

·Ability to work accurately and achieve a high standard of finish.

·Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

·Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of workmanship.

·Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.

·Mandarin-speaking ability is advantageous.
