We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint or wallpaper, performing minor repairs, and ensuring high-quality finishes. You will maintain tools, follow safety procedures, and collaborate with the team to complete projects on time. Weekend and weekday availability is required as per business needs.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Preparing surfaces by stripping old paint and wallpaper, repairing woodwork, filling cracks and holes, and sanding for a smooth finish.
- Mixing pigments, oils, and additives to achieve the required paint colour and consistency.
- Applying paint, varnish, and stains to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Hanging wallpaper, ensuring patterns align, and trimming excess edges.
- Setting up scaffolding and ladders, and covering surrounding areas with drop sheets to prevent paint splashes.
- Cleaning tools, equipment, and workspaces after completing tasks.
- Repairing windows and replacing glass panes in metal or wooden frames if needed.
- Installing and repairing wall and floor tiles when required.

Skills, experience and qualifications
- Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Painter
- Must have a relevant Certificate III level qualification.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Communication skills
