Paralegal

A boutique family law firm in one of Perth’s idyllic riverside suburbs is looking for a Paralegal to join its team. Family law experience is a bonus but not required. Full training will be given to the right person, so this is a solid entry point for someone early in their legal career or looking to move into family law from another area.

You’ll work closely with the firm’s lawyers, supporting them across a caseload that spans property settlements, parenting matters, divorce and de facto separation, consent orders and restraining order applications.

What you’ll be doing:

• Drafting correspondence, affidavits and court documents under supervision
• Managing files, diaries and court deadlines
• Liaising with clients, the Family Court and other parties
• Assisting lawyers with case preparation and general file management

What you’ll need:

• Prior paralegal, legal secretary or law clerk experience (family law exposure is a plus, not a must)
• Strong written communication and attention to detail
• Comfortable managing multiple files and deadlines
• A calm, empathetic manner with clients who are often going through a hard time
