St Anthony's Catholic College is seeking an experienced and dedicated Pastoral Leader.

This is a full time permanent Teaching role with afixed termappointment to the Pastoral Leader position concluding 2030.

The Pastoral Leader supports the mission of St Anthony's Catholic College through leadership of the learning and teaching program by ensuring that appropriate pedagogies are developed and implemented at all levels. The successful applicant will demonstrate leadership in three dimensions: leadership of teaching and learning, human leadership and strategic leadership.

Guided by Catholic values, you’ll demonstrate authentic leadership that nurtures faith, compassion and community. Your ability to model integrity, foster relationships and create an inclusive, supportive environment will be key to the ongoing success of both students and staff.

To thrive in this role, you will be a registered teacher with the Queensland College of Teachers and bring extensive classroom experience, together with a deep understanding of the Australian Curriculum and QCAA requirements. You’ll pair that professional credibility with a proven ability to lead and mentor others, build collaborative teams and translate data into meaningful improvement. Most importantly, you’ll lead with integrity, model our Catholic ethos in practice, and be motivated by helping both students and staff flourish.

Set on the tropical coast of North Queensland, Townsville blends the energy of a thriving regional city with the warmth of a welcoming community. With Magnetic Island just a short ferry ride away and the Great Barrier Reef on its doorstep, you can spend weekends exploring palm-lined beaches, vibrant markets, and lively cultural events - all while enjoying the relaxed, outdoors-focused lifestyle that makes Townsville such a rewarding place to live and work.

Townsville Catholic Education has standards of conduct for workers to maintain a safe and healthy environment for children. Our commitment to these standards requires that we conduct working with children checks and background referencing for all staff.
