- Collaborate with a payroll officer and report to the Payroll Manager.
- Handle payroll processing during a busy period with various deadlines.
About the role
You'll be stepping into a well-established payroll function, keeping the fortnightly pay run humming for a workforce of 1,000+ employees. You'll work closely with a payroll officer based in Townsville and report into a supportive Payroll Manager who knows the space inside out.
It's a busy 12 months — the business is mid-way through a UKG implementation, with EOFY, super deadlines and annual salary reviews all landing in the mix — so you'll hit the ground running. If that kind of variety energises you, you'll thrive here.
What you'll bring
- 2–3 years of hands-on payroll processing experience
- UKG system experience (this one's important — it's a key part of why we need you)
- Confidence interpreting enterprise agreements
- Experience in a mid-to-large payroll environment (500+ employees)
- A steady, reliable approach when deadlines are non-negotiable
What's on offer
- 3 days per week, happy to consider fully remote
- A genuinely collaborative team culture
- The chance to join at an exciting time in the business's growth
- And as a bonus — there may even be an opportunity to have some business travel
The details
- 12-month fixed-term contract
- Melbourne-based with remote flexibility — open to candidates who prefer to work predominantly from home
