Looking for a Payroll Officer to support a team in a 12-month contract

Payroll Officer 12-Month ContractJoin a Growing National Organisation
An exciting 12-month contract opportunity has become available for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a large national not-for-profit organisation with operations across multiple Australian states.Supporting a large and diverse workforce, this role will see you contribute to the delivery of accurate and compliant payroll services while working within a collaborative, supportive and values-driven environment.
Your New RoleReporting to the Payroll Manager, you will support day-to-day payroll operations and play an important role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing payroll transactions and maintaining employee records.
  • Managing commencements, terminations and employment variations.
  • Processing leave, allowances, deductions and superannuation transactions.
  • Conducting payroll validations and quality checks.
  • Supporting payroll reconciliations and reporting activities.
  • Responding to employee payroll enquiries.
  • Assisting with year-end payroll activities and compliance requirements.
  • Supporting payroll process improvement initiatives.

What You'll Need to SucceedTo be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience working within an end-to-end payroll environment.
  • Knowledge of awards, enterprise agreements and payroll legislation.
  • Strong payroll systems skills and confidence using Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities.
  • Experience working within complex workforce environments will be highly regarded.
