Lawson Elliott is excited to be partnering with a growing organisation who are based across multiple states within Australia. They are looking to welcome a confident and experienced Payroll Officer to join their team on an ongoing temporary basis, with the flexibility to work part-time hours.
With a growth period forecasted for the next 6 months and a few internal projects to complete, they are looking for someone to take care of all their BAU payroll activities. This position will be an excellent opportunity for you to showcase your payroll skills and take charge of all things payroll and make the position your own.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, your key responsibilities will be, but are not limited to:
- Perform end-to-end payroll processing for a diverse workforce across multiple states
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements
- Interpretation and application of modern awards
- Prepare forms and reports in relation to payroll deductions, leave balances and ledgers
- Evaluations and enhancement of payroll processes
- Offer guidance and assistance across the business in relation to updating payroll systems
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
To be considered for this role, it would be advantageous to have:
- At least 4+ years of experience in a similar role with a medium-large organization
- Strong communication skills
- Experience using large ERP systems
- Proficiency in both manual and autonomous payroll environments
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Sound knowledge around Industrial Awards and Agreements
