YOUR NEW ROLE

As a valued key lawyer in Victoria, reporting to+ being mentored by an outstanding Partner (an industry-leading top calibre Accredited Specialist), you will relish the challenge+autonomy+ satisfaction of obtaining  justice for your clients  in respect of their institutional/historical abuse claims.

You will have full-spectrum carriage of your own files+ manage your own practice-obtaining client instructions, reviewing medical evidence, legal research, providing technical legal advice, liaising with third parties, briefing counsel and attending court/settlement conferences.  

ONLY IF YOU desire a mixed personal injury role, some scope to practice in 1 other non-abuse area of personal injury law (eg public liability, medical negligence etc) if you have relevant experience.

WHO YOU ARE
We are interested in hearing from you if you:

  • are an admitted solicitor in VIC and have minimum 2+ YEARS experience (up to special counsel) in personal injury law including minimum 18 months specifically in institutionaabuse law (essential);

  • are hands-on (essential) and desire to have your own practice+clients (NOT seeking merely a managerial/mentoring role overseeing junior lawyers if you are a senior lawyer);

  • have strong technical knowledge +drafting & advocacy skills, are client-centric and results- driven;

  • are ambitious+ commercially astute with a high level of emotional intelligence+ love what you do;

  • have proven ability to work well in a busy, fast-paced environment;

  • are hungry to fulfil your potential to the MAX+ accelerate your  career with a leading plaintiff firm long-term.
