YOUR NEW EMPLOYER

Our client is an impressive plaintiff firm with extensive depth+breath of specialist personal injury expertise spanning 20+ years of success led by industry-leading partners. Currently undergoing an exciting huge growth phase, we’re looking to onboard a top calibre personal injury lawyer with Historical Child Sex Abuse law (HSA) experience OR a keen interest in HSA (if no HSA exp).

YOUR NEW ROLE

In this KEY role, reporting to an outstanding Senior Managing Solicitor+ being part of the winning vibrant HSA team, you will love the challenge+ stimulation+ satisfaction of fighting to do full justice for your plaintiff clients in Institutional/Historical Child Sexual Abuse cases.If you desire some variety, the firm is flexible +happy to accommodate you with a ‘mixed’ role consisting of HSA (approx. 80%) PLUS CTP/public liability/workers compensation/work injury damages/medical negligence cases (approx. 20%).

You will have full-spectrum carriage of your own files-obtaining client instructions, reviewing medical evidence, legal research, providing technical legal advice in respect of the viability of the claim, liaising with solicitors and doctors, briefing counsel and attending court/settlement conferences.

You will be given the future opportunity to step up and LEAD juniors  in the HSA team (subject to experience/performance).

WHO YOU ARE

We are interested in hearing from you if you:

  • are an admitted solicitor with MINIMUM 1 year PAE (or MORE)  hands-on personal injury law experience (including some institutional/child sexual abuse law-preferable but not essential);
  • have a serious genuine interest in practising in the HSA niche [ESSENTIAL];
  • have strong technical legal research/drafting +negotiation+ advocacy skills with high attention to detail;
  • are client-centric +deadline driven;
  • love to work in a busy, fast-paced environment;
