About the Role

We are looking for Pipe Welders & Pipe Fitters to join a large-scale project near the Port of Brisbane as well as DIDO projects in QLD & NSW.  Starting full-time casual with option to transfer to Full Time. Multiple ongoing positions available for installation / upgrade work on a new processing plant and storage facility. 

Job Details

• Pay rates: $58 per hour + Overtime, Penalties
• Shifts: 6:00am start 8-10 hour days Monday to Friday with overtime on offer
• Jobs: New Construction, plant upgrade, and maintenance projects of large-scale manufacturing facilities heavily focused in the oil and gas sector 
• Location: Port of Brisbane and surrounds & DIDO Roles available 

What you’ll be doing

• Pipe Fitting & welding of small and large bore pipework
• Structural steel fabrication, assembly & installation
• Bolt-up & flange management
• Working safely, independently and as part of a team

What we’re looking for

• Certificate III in Engineering (Boilermaker / Welder)
• Experience in Oil & Gas or heavy industry
• Proficiency in GTAW, SMAW, FCAW & GMAW (STT) welding
• Ability to weld to AS3992 / ASME XI standards
• Must pass 6G pipe weld tests (GTAW/SMAW – 100% X-Ray)
• Current tickets: White Card, Working at Heights, Confined Space
• Strong safety focus & solid work ethic
• Driver’s Licence and ability to pass pre-employment medical & D&A screening

Highly Regarded:

• Previous Oil & Gas, petrochemical, or energy sector experience or shutdown experience
• Strong knowledge of welding codes and procedure
• Additional tickets (e.g. rigging, EWP, forklift)
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure and tight timeframes
