Planning & Purchasing Officer - Beresfield

We are partnering with Fuchs Lubricants Australia to recruit a Planning & Purchasing Officer for their Beresfield operations. This pivotal role supports production planning, purchasing, and cross‑site operational continuity within a highly collaborative and safety‑focused environment.

About the Opportunity

Working closely with Operations, Procurement, Demand Planning and the IBP team, you'll help manage the master production plan, optimise inventory, and ensure seamless execution of production schedules. The role also provides coverage for key scheduling and purchasing functions across multiple sites, offering excellent development and supply chain exposure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Master Production Planning - Support development of a rolling 3‑month plan using capacity, forecasts and historical data.
  • Schedule Execution - Coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure 100% on‑time delivery.
  • Demand & Capacity Planning - Translate demand forecasts into actionable production schedules.
  • Risk Management - Identify constraints, mitigate risks and maintain schedule adherence.
  • Inventory Management - Analyse stock, manage safety levels and support accurate inventory data.
  • Continuous Improvement - Lead or support CI initiatives using Power BI and cross‑functional collaboration.
  • New Product Introduction - Coordinate trials, runouts and new product launches.
  • Purchasing & Supplier Engagement - Place orders, manage shortages, expedite deliveries and liaise with suppliers.
  • Cross‑Site Support - Provide coverage for scheduling and purchasing roles across Beresfield and Sunshine.

What You Bring

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field highly desirable
  • Experience in production planning and scheduling. With purchasing - desirable
  • Strong analytical capability with SAP/ERP or equivalent and Power BI skills (desirable).
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, adapt quickly and manage competing priorities.
  • A continuous improvement mindset and resilience in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Good attitude, flexibility to do a range of tasks
