What You'll Be Doing
As the Energy Product Owner, you'll drive the evolution of our energy comparison experience across digital and call centre channels. Partnering with technology, data, design and commercial teams, you'll use customer insights and performance data to deliver product improvements that enhance customer outcomes and drive business growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the delivery of the Energy product roadmap, ensuring initiatives align with customer needs and business objectives
- Use customer insights, performance data and market trends to identify opportunities that improve customer experience, engagement, conversion and growth
- Partner with technology, data, design and commercial teams to translate business needs into effective product solutions
- Own and prioritise the product backlog, including defining requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria to support successful delivery
- Lead the delivery of product enhancements and optimisation initiatives, balancing customer value, commercial outcomes and technical considerations
- Monitor product performance and champion continuous improvement through data-driven decision making and best-practice product management

What Sets You Apart
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
- Proven experience in Product Ownership, Product Management or Product Analysis within retail energy, utilities, comparison services, or a similar customer-focused industry
- Strong analytical capability, with experience using customer, operational and commercial insights to identify opportunities, optimise performance and drive growth
- Demonstrated experience working in Agile environments, including managing product backlogs, prioritisation, user stories and sprint planning
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and work effectively across business, technical and delivery teams
- Experience using product and delivery tools such as Confluence and Azure DevOps
- A proactive, commercially minded approach with a strong focus on customer outcomes, continuous improvement and delivering measurable business value
