About The Company
Our client manufactures quality roller blinds, and they have built their name on getting the detail right: accurate cutting, consistent finish and orders that arrive complete and undamaged. It is a vision driven business focused on growth and on keeping customers genuinely satisfied.
You will be based in their Campbellfield location, working alongside a team oriented crew who back each other in. The culture is supportive and social, with regular team events, and there is real pride taken in the product that goes out the door.
About The Opportunity
The primary purpose of this position is to support the roller blind manufacturing section and to complete customer deliveries. This is a factory production role first, with scheduled deliveries approximately three days a week, and production duties carried out on the days and times when you are not on the road.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Reading production worksheets and checking measurements, quantities and components before work starts
- Measuring and cutting roller blind tubes accurately, operating cutting equipment safely after full training
- Assisting with blind assembly, component preparation and other production tasks across the floor
- Quality checking dimensions, finish and operation, then packing and labelling orders for dispatch
- Checking orders against delivery paperwork, then loading, securing and unloading to prevent damage
- Completing scheduled van deliveries around three times a week and obtaining proof of delivery
- Keeping your work area and the van clean and safe, reporting defects, shortages or delays promptly
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- A current, valid standard car licence (deliveries are made in a van, so no special licence is needed)
- The ability to measure accurately, work with numbers and follow written instructions
- Strong attention to detail and genuine care when handling finished product
- Reliable attendance, punctuality and a responsible approach to the work
- The ability to work efficiently to the production schedule and speak up when you need a hand
- The physical capacity to lift up to 15 kg alone (help and handling equipment are available for most lifting)
- A willingness to learn, follow safety procedures and work cooperatively with the team
Previous experience in blind manufacturing, factory production, cutting equipment or deliveries will be an advantage, but it is not essential.
