About the Role
Our client is a well-established structural steel fabrication and engineering business based in Rocklea, specialising in modular and prefabricated construction, is seeking a Production Estimator to join their Sales & Estimation team. This is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced sales estimator, or someone at the start of their estimating career to build a long-term future in a supportive, team-oriented environment, working closely with senior estimators and reporting to the National Sales/Estimating Manager.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications
- Support the preparation of cost estimates for labour, materials and subcontracted work
- Request and compile supplier and subcontractor pricing
- Enter and maintain estimating data in spreadsheets and estimating software
- Assist with bid documentation, submissions and post-tender clarifications
- Maintain organised estimating files, registers and documentation
- Track quote due dates and assist with bid schedules
- Coordinate internally with production, purchasing and project teams
- Learn to interpret drawings, specifications and scopes of work
- Participate in handover meetings and post-project reviews
About You
- Minimum 2 years' experience in estimating or project management
- Proven experience reading drawings, plans or technical documentation
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel; familiarity with estimating or project management software an advantage
- Manufacturing industry experience highly regarded
- Well-organised with strong time management skills
- A team player who is eager to learn, adapt and take on feedback and coaching
