The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Engineer to join our growing team in Burswood, WA.
This role will play a key part in supporting the successful delivery of engineering and project execution activities by providing project planning, scheduling, cost control, reporting and performance analysis across a portfolio of projects.
Working closely with Project Managers, Engineers and key stakeholders, you will help ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain and monitor project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project
- Track project progress against baseline schedules and milestones
- Support cost tracking, forecasting and budget control activities
- Prepare weekly and monthly project reports, dashboards and performance updates
- Assist with earned value management (EVM) and project performance analysis
- Identify schedule risks, delays and potential cost impacts
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement and project delivery teams to ensure alignment across project activities
- Support change management and variation tracking processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within project controls systems and reporting
- Maintain accurate project records, documentation and reporting data
About You
- Degree qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or related discipline
- Previous experience in a Project Controls, Planning, Cost Control or Project Engineering role
- Experience within mining, energy, utilities, infrastructure or EPC/EPCM environments
- Strong proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project and Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with project reporting and data visualisation tools such as Power BI (desirable)
