Project Manager

Talenza is working with a leading financial services organisation to engage a Project Manager to support a platform modernisation program, this requires establishing data governance across 3 streams of work. Working closely with the Program Manager, you will drive delivery across data governance, data operating model development, data management and transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project delivery within broader program.

• Establish and embed data governance frameworks, processes and practices from the ground up.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of the organisation's data operating model.

• Drive data governance across the transformation lifecycle, from data entry and source systems through to processes, reporting and analytics.

• Coordinate data governance activities across major transformation initiatives, including the new core claims system and CRM.

• Develop and manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and budgets.

• Support data migration, data quality and data management activities where required.

• Provide thought leadership and help build data governance capability across the organisation.

• Coordinate stakeholders across data, technology, operational and transformation teams to ensure governance is embedded into delivery.

• Support the establishment of forums, processes and ways of working to improve data governance and decision-making.

Essential Requirements

• 8+ years' experience managing complex technology, data or transformation projects.

• Proven experience delivering data governance and/or data transformation initiatives, ideally establishing governance practices in a developing environment.

• Strong understanding of data governance, data management, data operating models and data quality.

• Experience working across complex data environments, ideally involving data migration, core systems or modern data platforms.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to provide informed insights and build confidence with executive stakeholders.

• Demonstrated ability to provide clear reporting and translate complex data and technology matters for senior executives.

• Strong project delivery skills, including management of risks, dependencies, competing priorities and multiple stakeholders.

• Financial services experience is an advantage.
