We’re looking for a hands-on, reliable operator to take charge of purchasing across our clients busy timber and hardware operations. This role is all about keeping things running smoothly, having the right stock on hand, maintaining solid supplier relationships, and helping the business grow.

Your day-to-day
- Keep on top of stock levels — order what’s needed, when it’s needed.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Negotiate the best buying terms, including volume discounts and one-off deals.
- Identify and manage slow-moving or excess stock to minimise waste.
- Keep sales and warehouse teams updated on product changes or new arrivals.
- Work closely with inventory and operations to ensure accurate stock movement and reporting.
What you’ll bring
- Experience in purchasing or inventory control, ideally in hardware, building or trade supply.
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
- A practical, organised approach and solid attention to detail.
- The ability to communicate well with both suppliers and internal teams.
- Confidence using systems and data to forecast stock and reduce over-ordering.
