The Opportunity 

  • Deliver clinical services through evidence based, individual and group interventions and counselling
  • Provide a variety of services including assessments that identify individual strengths, skills, experience and vulnerabilities in employment
  • Gain expertise by working with a multidisciplinary team of Allied Health Professionals
  • Permanent Part-time role (3 days a week) covering our sites in Innisfail, Atherton and Mareeba.  

 Would this describe you?

  • Tertiary qualification in your discipline of either: Qualified Counsellor OR Rehabilitation Counsellor OR Social Worker with AOD experience
  • Registration/Membership with relevant state or national professional body is essential (i.e. ACA or PACFA or ASORC or AASW)
  • Clinical counselling or mental health counselling
  • Proven ability to motivate and genuinely engage with people
  • Solution focused therapeutic approach which links to vocational goals
  • Strong organisational skills 
  • Willing to obtain a Working with Children Check and national police check/yellow card
  • Be able to obtain a myID 
  • Current drivers licence
