About this role

Casual Qualified Educator - Glebe

We're looking for warm, flexible and reliable Casual Qualified Educators to join our team at Only About Children Glebe.

This is a great opportunity to be part of a supportive campus community while bringing your care, qualification and adaptability to children's everyday learning and routines.

About our Glebe campus

There's a special kind of warmth to working at Glebe. Set inside a beautifully renovated former nunnery on Bridge Road, the campus has character, original details and a homely feel that makes it more than a typical centre. With Glebe Point Road, parks, cafés and transport nearby, it has that creative Inner West energy.

Inside, Glebe feels nurturing, thoughtful and full of possibility. Children learn across six age-based indoor spaces and two outdoor areas with sandpits, gardens, a bike track and vegetable patch. Families often describe educators as caring, patient and emotionally available, with children feeling safe and excited to attend. It's a campus where your work can help children feel known, capable and ready for their next step.

You're The Difference at OAC

At Only About Children, everything starts with one simple truth: You're The Difference.

Even when you are working casually, your presence matters. The way you step into a room, support children's routines and bring calm, flexible care helps children feel safe, settled and included.

With us, you'll be part of a team that values the difference you make in every shift.

About the role

As a Casual Qualified Educator, you'll support rooms across the campus, helping children feel safe, settled and engaged throughout the day.

You'll work alongside permanent educators to support routines, play-based experiences, supervision, mealtimes, rest times and transitions. This role suits someone who enjoys variety, builds relationships quickly and can bring calm, positive energy into different rooms.

What you'll do

  • Support nursery, toddler and kindergarten rooms as needed, helping children feel safe, settled and engaged.
  • Assist with daily routines, meals, rest times, transitions and personal care with consistency and warmth.
  • Support play-based learning experiences and safe supervision across different rooms.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families and educators, even when working flexibly.
  • Step into different room environments with confidence, adaptability and a calm approach.
  • Follow campus routines, room leader guidance and OAC policies.
  • Uphold child safe practices and inclusive care in every shift.

What you'll bring

  • Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or approved equivalent.
  • Experience in early learning preferred.
  • Flexibility, reliability and a positive attitude.
  • Warm communication with children, families and teams.
  • Understanding of supervision, routines and child safe practices.
  • Ability to adapt quickly across different rooms and age groups.
  • Current Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain one.

What we offer

  • Flexible casual shifts that support your availability and lifestyle.
  • Supportive campus teams and welcoming room environments, so you can step in with confidence.
  • Opportunities to work across age groups, build experience and strengthen your practice.
  • Access to OAC curriculum and wellbeing resources to support quality care and learning.
  • Potential pathways into permanent roles across the OAC network.
  • Recognition through everyday team culture, because your contribution matters in every shift.
  • A values-led organisation where casual educators are an important part of the team.
  • A culture that embraces who you are and what you bring, because at OAC, you're the difference.
