Seeking an experienced commercial refrigeration mechanic
Your new company
We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Mechanic to join the Engineering and Facilities Management team at a large public hospital. This role is responsible for the maintenance, repair, testing and optimisation of refrigeration, air conditioning and mechanical services infrastructure across a complex healthcare environment.The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring hospital facilities remain safe, compliant and operational, contributing directly to patient care, staff wellbeing and the continuous operation of critical clinical services.
Your new role
What you'll need to succeed
- Possession of a Trade Certificate in Refrigeration Fitting and Air-conditioning, a current restricted electrical licence. A current Full Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Licence (ARC National Refrigeration Handling Licence) and substantial post-trade work experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning services, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) equipment in a large health facility or similar; and the ability to read and understand refrigeration plant, controls and site drawings.
- Demonstrated understanding and application of fault-finding and quality control techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision in a customer-focused team environment.
- Demonstrated good interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
