Registered Nurse - 4C Medical Ward

This state-of-the-art facility in Sydney's northern coastal region provides 486 beds catering to both public and private patients. The successful candidate will join the Acute Medical Unit, specifically working within a high-pressure 36-bed ward that includes a 10-bed Medical Assessment Unit and 26 general medical beds equipped with cardiac telemetry. Operating within a Level 5 delineation service, the clinician will collaborate with leading specialists and a multidisciplinary team, utilizing world-class infrastructure including 14 theatres, a 50-bed Emergency Department, and an innovative clinical school in partnership with Macquarie University.

Locum Details and Compensation

This role offers a competitive nursing rate upto $54.89 per hour, with the final figure determined by the individual’s years of relevant registered nursing experience under the 2024 Enterprise Agreement. The placement is scheduled to commence immediately, with the current recruitment phase closing on March 23, 2026. Requirements and Role Expectations

• Professional Registration: Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent and maintain current AHPRA registration.

• Clinical Experience: A minimum of one to two years in an acute hospital setting is essential to navigate the fast-paced nature of the Acute Medical Unit.

• Skill Set: Requires a clinician with sound clinical decision-making, expertise in medication management systems (MEDCHART), and a passion for patient-centered care.

• Compliance: Successful candidates must provide a current National Police Check, a NSW Working with Children Check, and proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases.
