We are seeking multiple Residential and Commercial Metal Roof Plumbers to join our client’s team. With several ongoing and upcoming commercial roofing projects across Sunshine Coast,QLD and surrounding areas, this is a great opportunity for both developing and experienced tradespeople.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and repair metal roofing systems, wall cladding, flashings, gutters, downpipes and rainwater products on residential, commercial and industrial projects.
• Conduct detailed roof inspections and accurately diagnose defects, leaks, waterproofing failures, damaged flashings, penetrations and drainage issues.
• Read and interpret architectural drawings, construction plans and specifications to ensure accurate installation and compliance.
• Measure, fabricate, cut, fold and install sheet metal products, roofing components and custom flashings to a high standard.
• Install waterproofing systems and roofing membranes in accordance with Australian Standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Ensure correct roof fall, drainage performance and compliance with the relevant Australian Standards.
• Coordinate effectively with builders, site supervisors, clients, subcontractors and team members to ensure project timelines are met.
• Maintain exceptional workmanship standards while adhering to company quality assurance procedures and WHS requirements.
• Operate roofing and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
• Identify and resolve on-site issues while maintaining productivity and quality outcomes.

Skills Required

• At least 1 years' relevant employment experience in metal roofing, roof plumbing or cladding installation within residential, commercial or industrial environments.
• Demonstrated experience installing and fabricating metal roofing, flashings, gutters, downpipes, box gutters, rainwater heads and wall cladding systems.
• Strong knowledge of roofing systems, waterproofing methods, roof drainage principles and rainwater management.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and site plans.
• Sound understanding of the roofing industry best practices.
• Proven ability to accurately measure, fabricate and install custom sheet metal products and flashings.
• Experience identifying and rectifying roof leaks, defects and water ingress issues.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Solid understanding of Workplace Health and Safety requirements, including working safely at heights.
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling and roofing work in varying weather conditions.

Licences & Certifications

• Ideally hold relevant vocational or tertiary qualifications.
• Current White Card (Construction Induction Card).
• Current Driver's Licence and reliable transport.
• Working at Heights certification (preferred).
• EWP, Scissor Lift, Boom Lift ticket or other relevant construction tickets (advantageous).
• Own tools suitable for performing roofing and roof plumbing works.

What We Offer

• Competitive salary around $80,000 – $110,000 (depending on experience)
