Position overview:
We’re looking for experienced Residential Youth Workers who can confidently support young people with complex behaviours in trauma-informed residential care settings.
If you can build trust, stay calm under pressure, set strong boundaries, and create meaningful connections with young people doing it tough, then this is for you!
Responsibilities:
- Supporting young people in daily routines and independent living
- Managing complex behaviours using trauma-informed practice
- Building strong therapeutic relationships
- Transporting to school, appointments, and activities
- Completing case notes, reports, and medication administration
- Working closely with care teams and case managers
What You’ll Need
- Minimum 6+ months residential youth work experience
- Cert IV in Youth Work, Community Services, or similar
- Confidence managing challenging behaviours
- Driver’s Licence (P2 or above)
- Working With Children Check
- First Aid/CPR & relevant certifications (or willingness to obtain)
- LCS2 clearance or willingness to obtain
