Salary: $ 85000(Salary) + $10200 (Superannuation)

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our supermarket and contribute to the continued growth and success of our business.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

·Plan, organise and manage the day-to-day operations of the supermarket to ensure efficient business performance.

·Develop and implement sales strategies, promotional activities and merchandising plans to achieve business objectives.

·Monitor stock levels, coordinate inventory management and organise the ordering and replenishment of supermarket products.

·Liaise with suppliers, negotiate product pricing and coordinate deliveries to maintain adequate stock availability.

·Establish and implement pricing strategies, monitor operating expenses and assist in achieving sales and profitability targets.

·Recruit, train, supervise and manage supermarket staff, including preparing work schedules and monitoring employee performance.

·Maintain high standards of customer service, handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints professionally.

·Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, food safety and other applicable regulatory requirements.

·Oversee financial and administrative activities, including daily sales reconciliation, budget monitoring and preparation of operational reports.

·Monitor store presentation, product displays and merchandising standards to ensure a clean, safe and welcoming shopping environment.

Skills and Experience Required

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

·A relevant qualification in Retail Management, Business Management or a related field and/or substantial relevant retail management experience.

·At least one year demonstrated experience in managing retail or supermarket operations.

·Strong leadership, staff supervision and team management skills.

·Sound knowledge of inventory control, stock ordering, merchandising and supplier management.

·Ability to monitor budgets, control operational costs and achieve sales targets.

·Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.

·Strong customer service skills and the ability to work effectively in a busy retail environment.

·Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements and retail operational procedures.

·Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
