Our client is a well-established construction company delivering high-quality projects across a range of sectors. With a strong pipeline of work scheduled to commence locally in Toowoomba this year, they are looking to bring an experienced Safety Advisor on board to support site operations and maintain strong safety standards across their projects.
About the Role:
This is a site-based Safety Advisor role, working closely with site management, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure a safe working environment across active construction site.
You’ll be highly visible on site, supporting day-to-day safety activities and contributing to continuous improvement in safety performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Support the implementation and maintenance of WHS systems and procedures
- Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and safety training
- Assist with incident investigations and reporting
- Work closely with site teams to promote a strong safety culture
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and company standards
To Be Successful:
- Previous experience in a Safety Advisor role within construction (commercial, industrial or similar)
- Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation and site safety practices
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage and influence site teams
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or higher) preferred
- Proactive, organised, and comfortable working in a site-based environment
