Secondary Teacher - CRT

The Role:

  • Immediate start, until November 2026
  • Part time, 4 days per week
  • 9:30-3pm
  • Teaching a small (max. 14) indigenous class of Year 11/12 Victorian Pathway Certificate (VPC) students 
  • Core teaching plan involves student Literacy, Numeracy, work related and personal development skills.
  • Expect a Star works closely with Primary, Secondary and Tertiary providers to support with casual relief teaching vacancies for emergency and contract assignments. This vacancy is not and will not be the only vacancy that we are assisting with. 

What you will do:

  • Deliver engaging lesson plans and activities, while maintaining a positive, inclusive and safe classroom environment.
  • Effectively manage classroom behaviour and uphold school/provider expectations and policies.
  • Collaborate professionally with support staff to accurately record and communicate incidents, student progress and relevant feedback in accordance with the school’s policies and procedures.

What you need:

  • Knowledge and experience working with indigenous communities or culturally inclusive settings
  • Relevant teaching qualifications and experience (preferred)
  • Certificate IV in training & Assessment (preferrable but not essential)
  • Valid VIT registration
  • Up to date child safety training
  • 2x professional referees
