Our Adelaide based Employment and Safety team is seeking an ambitious Senior Associate with 5+ years' PAE in employment and workplace relations law.

The role
Our Adelaide based Employment and Safety team is seeking an ambitious Senior Associate with 5+ years' PAE in employment and workplace relations law.
Our team advises and assists a range of employers including number of leading Australian and multinational organisations on all employment, industrial and workplace health and safety matters. The industries and sectors in which our clients operate include financial and professional services, community services, health and aged care, education, energy, contractor services, transport, retail, manufacturing and government.
The work is diverse and interesting, involving a wide range of employment, workplace relations, safety, discrimination and compliance issues. There is a mix of litigious, transactional and advice/strategy work.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with an experienced team led by three Partners, on diverse and interesting matters involving the development and implementation of IR strategies, advice on enterprise bargaining, responding to industrial disputes, drafting and advising on the enforcement of employment agreements, defending unfair dismissal, general protection and discrimination claims, and advising on compliance with WHS laws.

- be team-oriented with a strong work ethic;
- be commercially astute and interested in the business challenges facing our clients;
- have experience working in a high quality practice in the areas of law highlighted above;
- have a detailed understanding of the law in these areas and have demonstrated your ability to provide sound technical advice and practical business-focused solutions;
- be committed to progressing your career in a commercial firm environment;
- be able to interact confidently with clients and build effective working relationships.
