Senior Cloud Security Specialist

Join a Federal Government agency delivering important digital services and progressing a major Zero Trust program to strengthen its cloud, network and security capabilities.
Your new role
As the Cloud Security Specialist, you will provide senior technical leadership across the organisations Zscaler environment. You will review and optimise the existing Zero Trust architecture, improve monitoring and operational resilience, and support the adoption of Infrastructure as Code and Policy as Code practices.
You will also develop runbooks and technical documentation while mentoring internal Network, Cloud and Security teams. A key focus will be structured knowledge transfer, enabling internal staff to independently operate, troubleshoot and enhance the platform.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will have:

• Expert enterprise Zscaler experience
• Strong Zscaler Cloud Connector and Zero Trust knowledge
• Monitoring, alerting and observability experience
• Security architecture, resilience and recovery experience
• Infrastructure as Code and Policy as Code experience
• Strong automation and troubleshooting capability
• Experience developing runbooks and technical documentation
• Strong stakeholder engagement and mentoring skills
• Ability to obtain a Baseline security clearance

Current Zscaler certifications and experience within Australian Government environments will be highly regarded. Experience integrating Zscaler with AWS, Azure, enterprise networking, security monitoring or SIEM platforms will also be beneficial.
