Your New RoleAs the Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, optimisation, and technical leadership of the organisation's data lake, data warehouse, and cloud analytics platforms.You will provide technical direction across enterprise data initiatives, work closely with business and technology stakeholders, and mentor a team of Data Engineers while driving best practices across architecture, governance, automation, and DevOps.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the architecture, design and delivery of enterprise data platforms and analytics solutions.
• Developing scalable ELT/ETL data pipelines and modern cloud-native data engineering capabilities.
• Designing and managing enterprise data warehouse and data lake solutions.
• Providing technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to Data Engineers and project teams.
• Driving data governance, security, privacy and compliance standards across the platform.
• Leading CI/CD, DevOps and deployment automation practices.
• Working closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Supporting the modernisation of legacy data environments and cloud migration initiatives.
• Developing platform roadmaps and identifying opportunities to leverage emerging technologies.
• Ensuring operational excellence, platform reliability and high service availability.

What You'll Need To Succeed

Essential Experience

• Extensive experience as a Senior Data Engineer, Data Engineering Lead or Technical Lead.
• Strong experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale Data Lake and Data Warehouse solutions.
• Proven hands-on experience with
  Snowflake
  including architecture, performance optimisation, data modelling, security, and data sharing capabilities.
• Strong experience with
  Talend
  for enterprise ETL/ELT development, data integration, orchestration and data migration initiatives.
• Experience building scalable cloud-native data platforms within Azure, AWS or hybrid cloud environments.
• Expertise in data pipeline development, data transformation and data integration practices.
• Strong experience working with large, complex and heterogeneous datasets.
• Experience implementing Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Security frameworks.
• Proven experience leading technical teams and mentoring Data Engineers.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
