My client, a well-known Electrical Contractor with a national presence in Australia are looking to appoint a new Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Melbourne team.
After a number of successful tender wins for major builders across the commercial construction, data centre, infrastructure and healthcare sectors, 2026/7 is looking very busy for the company and as such the design team needs to grow.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar level position working on high value packages of work in the commercial construction world, be that with a consultant or contracting background.
You must be a Registered Professional Engineer and able to sign off design.
General Duties will include:
- Produce concept and detailed designs in line with client requirements
- Participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and follow required checking procedures;
- Ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes;
- Provide assistance during procurement, construction and commissioning stages
- Complete concept reviews and undertaking detailed designs
- Participate in the delivery of electrical design components of large-scale projects from inception to completion
- Utilise your problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions
- Work with clients across the country, as well as on major national defence projects
