Senior Electrical Engineer
- Responsible for detailed engineering design of substation packages.
- Integrate High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems for reliability and performance.
- Conduct testing and commissioning of substations and switchrooms.
About the Role
This is a full-time, Monday through Friday role based in the Perth CBD for an established company on a 12-months’ contract.
The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for the detailed engineering design of substation packages. The role involves designing and integrating High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) systems to ensure reliability, performance, and quality-of-supply requirements are met while delivering cost-effective solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Performing detailed engineering of substations and switchrooms
- Specifying and providing technical input to selection of HV and LV system
- Establishment and continued updating of technical design standards
- Integration of HV and LV systems, protection systems into a fully functional system
- Design and documentation for cabling, lighting and lightning calculations
- Testing and commissioning of substations and switchrooms
Skills/Requirements
- Electrical Engineering Qualification
- Detailed design engineering experience Protection systems and fault analysis
- Experience in the use of electrical wiring databases
- Strong knowledge and application of Australian Standards (Electrical)
- Good understanding of the balance between technical and commercial outcomes
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office
