Job Description
- Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Manage and reconcile accounts, including general ledger and balance sheet accounts.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities to aid strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient financial operations.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
- Identify process improvements and implement best practices in financial management.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Financial Accountant should have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. CPA or CA).
- Proven experience in financial accounting within the insurance or related industry.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Workday is desirable, but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
