Join our brand new multidisciplinary mental health team in the Northern Gold Coast! While driving high-quality, person-centred care across Open Minds’ Medicare Mental Health Services, our centres offer assessment, triage, warm referrals, immediate and short-medium term support for people with varying levels of need, including those in crisis.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Mental Health Clinician to join our newly established Medicare Mental Health Centre in Pimpama. In this leadership position, you will support the delivery of high-quality, person-centred mental health services to individuals across the Northern Gold Coast region. Reporting to the Clinical Lead, you will play a central role in clinical service delivery, team capability building, and shaping a positive, recovery-focused service environment.

About You

  • Provide evidence-based psychological interventions tailored to individual client needs.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, contribute to case formulation, and develop collaborative treatment plans for clients with moderate to complex mental health needs.
  • Complete risk assessments and develop robust, client-centred risk management plans.
  • Deliver flexible, frequent, and responsive client support aligned with our co-designed service model.
  • Offer leadership, clinical supervision, and line management support to 3–6 staff members and provide onsite supervision to students.
  • Engage with families, carers, and key stakeholders to support holistic, recovery-oriented care.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, OT, or a related clinical discipline in mental health.
  • AHPRA or AASW Registration
  • Current Driver Licence
  • Current Blue Card
  • Current National Police Check.
  • Knowledge of mental health systems, legislation, and standards
  • Experience in assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment
