Senior Mine Planning & Projects Engineer

The Opportunity:
You’ll make a meaningful impact by delivering safe and efficient short to medium-term open pit mine planning, design and scheduling activities for our Mining team at Gruyere. Your expertise will support the development of the optimal extraction of gold while collaborating closely with operational teams to ensure compliance with site safety and environmental standards. You will work with the wider Gruyere team and our business partners to start a new mine.

What You’ll Do
- Lead open pit optimisation, design, scheduling and reserve evaluation activities to support safe and efficient mine planning.
- Prepare pit layouts, infrastructure designs and technical reports for mining studies, approvals and project development stages.
- Deliver technical and economic analysis including dilution modelling, fleet requirements, pit staging and project evaluations.
- Collaborate with operational readiness teams, business partners and external consultants to ensure high-quality, timely delivery the new Golden Highway mining project.

What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering and Australian manual driver’s licence
- A Western Australian Quarry Manager’s ticket or the ability to hold one.
- Proven, extensive open pit engineering experience (planning and operational)
- Understanding of mining and environmental approvals
- Proficient in mining software such as Deswik, Alastri and Microsoft Office
- A growth mindset, with strong communication, responsibility, and relationship-building skills.
