SEQ Council Opportunity – Within Commutable Distance of Northern Gold Coast
LO-GO Appointments QLD is currently seeking an experienced Senior Plumbing Officer for a temporary assignment with a Council located in South East Queensland.
The position is to provide Long Service Leave (LSL) coverage, commencing ASAP through to 12 March 2027.
About the Role: The Senior Plumbing Officer will provide advanced technical expertise in plumbing inspections and assessments, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and codes. The role will also provide mentoring and guidance to Plumbing Inspectors, operational leadership and support to the Team Leader in delivering high-quality plumbing services.
Skills and Experience:
- Current Queensland Plumber and Drainer Licence.
- Significant operational experience in plumbing inspections, including commercial applications.
- Previous experience mentoring, supervising or providing technical guidance to staff.
- Significant knowledge of the Plumbing and Drainage Act 2018 and Plumbing and Drainage Regulation 2019.
- Sound knowledge of the Planning Act 2016, Building Act 1975 and Local Government Act 2009.
- Experience in complex compliance, enforcement and reporting processes.
- Current Queensland C Class Driver Licence.
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
