Most architect roles promise "great projects" and a "supportive team."
The reality?
Many senior architects end up stuck in documentation, managing problems they didn't create, with little influence over design decisions, clients, or the future direction of the practice.
 
This opportunity is different.
We're representing a highly respected WA design practice with an established reputation for delivering sophisticated residential, multi-residential, and commercial projects. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they're looking for a Senior Project Architect who wants more than just another job.
 
This is a genuine leadership opportunity where you'll take ownership of projects from inception through to delivery while working closely with decision-makers who value initiative, design excellence, and professional autonomy.
 
What You'll Be Responsible For You'll be entrusted with the leadership and delivery of projects across multiple sectors, taking projects from early strategy and concept development through documentation, construction, and completion.

• Lead projects through all phases of design and delivery
• Manage client relationships and become a trusted project advisor
• Coordinate consultants, stakeholders, and wider project teams
• Drive project programmes, budgets, and delivery outcomes
• Oversee documentation quality and technical compliance
• Conduct site inspections and administer contracts during construction
• Mentor emerging architects and support their professional growth
• Contribute to studio standards, systems, and continuous improvement
• Play a role in business development and long-term client retention

Who We're Looking For This role will suit an Architect who enjoys balancing design thinking with commercial and project leadership responsibilities.

• Registration as an Architect in Australia
• 5+ years post-registration experience
• Strong project delivery experience across multiple project stages
• Advanced Revit capability
• Sound understanding of construction methodology and building documentation
• Strong knowledge of NCC requirements and planning frameworks
• Experience managing consultants and coordinating project teams
• Excellent client-facing communication skills
• Ability to lead projects with minimal supervision

Additional experience with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, BIM coordination, or rendering software will be highly regarded.
