Senior Systems Administrator

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join our client and play a key role in maintaining, optimising, and evolving their IT infrastructure.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in complex environments, enjoys solving problems, and can confidently lead projects while supporting business critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 support and troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Maintain system security, backups and redundancy strategies
• Monitor system performance and proactively improve availability
• Manage escalated issues impacting business operations
• Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders
• Support users, including occasional after-hours assistance
• Lead and contribute to IT projects and initiatives
• Design, implement and document new and existing systems

About You

• Strong experience in a 2nd/3rd level Systems Administrator role (5+ years preferred)
• Solid Microsoft stack expertise (7+ years preferred) (Windows Server, O365, Exchange, AD/Azure)
• Experience with Citrix (XenApp, Workspace, XenMobile)
• Knowledge of cloud/virtual environments and modern identity (AAD, SSO, MFA)
• Proven project delivery experience
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously

Qualifications

• Microsoft/Citrix certifications (or equivalent)
