An excellent opportunity has become available for a Services Engineer to join a reputable contractor delivering a large-scale building project in Sydney CBD. This 6-month contract will see you play a key role in coordinating and managing building services packages from procurement through to installation, commissioning, and handover.
The RoleWorking closely with the Project Manager and site team, you will be responsible for ensuring all mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fire services are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all building services trades and subcontractors onsite.
- Review service drawings, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Manage RFIs, services coordination, and design-related issues.
- Monitor programme milestones and drive services delivery.
- Conduct inspections and ensure quality compliance.
- Coordinate testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
- Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives.
- Assist with procurement, cost control, and services reporting.
About You
- Previous experience as a Services Engineer on commercial building projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fire services.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and subcontractors.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant engineering or construction qualification.
- Experience working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 builder will be highly regarded.
