Senior Career Medical Officer – Community Mental Health

Location: Hobart (South), TAS, Australia

Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time (up to 76 hrs/fortnight, with on-call)

Salary: $198,083 - $212,180 p.a. + 12% super + salary packaging + benefits

Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

An opportunity for a Senior Career Medical Officer to join a multidisciplinary community mental health team providing recovery-focused care for adults with enduring and complex mental illness across Southern Tasmania.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver medical care within community mental health services.

Support recovery-oriented assessment, treatment and care planning.

Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Contribute to quality improvement and service development.

Requirements

General, provisional or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia.

Experience or interest in mental health.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Working With Children Registration if required.

International candidates can be considered, subject to registration and eligibility requirements.
