Our client is a mattress and furniture retail business looking for a Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager to lead a small, tight-knit team of 2-3 people. This is a permanent role based on an alternating weekend roster, offering a competitive salary of $70,000 to $80,000 plus an excellent commission structure. The successful candidates will drive sales performance, manage day-to-day store operations, and build a customer-focused environment that turns browsers into buyers.
- Lead a small team with full responsibility for store operations, sales targets, and customer experience
- $70,000 to $80,000 base salary, plus generous commission (1% of all sales over $800 per month)
- Alternating weekend roster with opportunity to build a high-performing retail operation
Preferred Requirements
- Proven sales experience with a track record of hitting or exceeding targets
- Strong store management background, including team leadership and P&L responsibility
- Ability to coach and motivate a small team to deliver consistent sales results
- Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work an alternating weekend roster and adapt to retail demands
Preferred Qualifications
- Retail management qualification or equivalent hands-on experience in a supervisory or management role
- Demonstrated success in consultative sales environments
- Experience managing small teams and driving sales performance in a commission-based structure
