ACCIONA has been awarded the wharf construction package for Lumsden Point, a new multi-user cargo facility and logistics hub for Pilbara Ports Authority at Port Hedland. Valued at $220 million, the project covers piling, civil and FRP works, forming the first stage of a facility built to support mineral exports, renewable energy imports and general cargo handling.
About Opportunity
As Surveyor, you'll set out and survey the Lumsden Point wharf works, ensuring every element conforms to project drawings, specifications and Australian Standards. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you'll work closely with the construction team to keep the project on track, from piling through to wharf services completion. This is a FIFO role on a 2/1 roster.
Key accountabilities for the position will be:
- Set out and survey works to drawings and Australian Standards
- Drive quality and safety compliance across the survey scope
- Calibrate and maintain survey equipment to required standards
- Manage design documentation, drawings and specifications
- Coordinate subcontractors and monitor workmanship standards
- Report project progress and resolve site issues promptly
- Mentor site personnel and support the survey team
Required Skills and Competencies
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant tertiary qualification
- Experience in a construction or engineering environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Sound understanding of HSE requirements and implementation
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office
