BDA Homes Pty Ltd is a residential construction company based in Newport, Victoria, specialising in high-quality new home construction, renovations and rendering services. We are seeking an experienced Renderer (Solid Plasterer) to join our growing team on a full-time basis.
Location: Newport, VIC 3015
Employment Type: Full-time (38 hours per week)
Salary: $86,500 per annum plus superannuation
About the Role
The successful applicant will be responsible for carrying out a range of solid plastering and rendering works on residential and commercial projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and compliance with Australian building standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare wall and ceiling surfaces by cleaning, levelling and applying bonding agents.
- Mix and apply cement, acrylic, lime and textured rendering materials.
- Apply internal and external solid plaster and decorative finishes.
- Install and finish corner beads, expansion joints and reinforcement mesh.
- Repair damaged rendered and plastered surfaces.
- Produce smooth, textured or decorative finishes to required specifications.
- Read and interpret plans and job specifications.
- Ensure all work complies with workplace health and safety requirements.
- Maintain tools, equipment and a clean worksite.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum three (3) years' relevant full-time work experience as a Renderer (Solid Plasterer).
- Strong knowledge of rendering materials, application techniques and finishing methods.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's licence preferred.
