Due to growth nationally, we are seeking trainees to join the Secom Technical Services family!

First Year: $76k, Second Year: $86k, Third Year: $90k, Fourth Year: $95k base. Plus overtime (for over 21 years old).

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain electronic security equipment to relevant standards under the supervision of an experienced Technician.
  • Manage time to complete required assessments, course material and attend course training days to gain a Certificate III or IV that is relevant to the Electronic Security industry.
  • Assist with the testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electronic security systems to ensure reliable operation and compliance with project requirements.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including service reports, installation records, and equipment inventories, in accordance with company procedures.
  • Follow all workplace health and safety requirements, company policies, and reasonable directions from supervisors while demonstrating a professional and proactive approach to work.

What You’ll Bring

  • Ability to gain an AGSVA Security Clearance – must be an Australian Citizen.
  • Strong interest in the electronic security industry and a willingness to learn and develop.
  • High ethical standards and alignment with our TECH Values: Trustworthy, Effective, Collaborative, and Honest.
  • Enrolled in, or able to enrol in, a Certificate III or IV relevant to the electronic security industry.
  • Practical aptitude for electronics, technology, and computer-based systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder engagement, and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, situational awareness, and ability to follow instructions.
  • Current Driver Licence.
  • Current Security Licence (or ability to obtain).
  • Current White Card (or ability to obtain).
  • Current Asbestos Awareness Card and Silica Awareness Training (or ability to obtain).
