About the role
Being the face of our operation, you will be held to a high standard of customer service and excellent safety standards.
This contract logistics company servicing some of the country’s biggest companies, and currently require X4 Tug Operatorsto join the team
Key Responsibilities:
- Open tautliner curtains ready for unloading after arrival on the docks.
- Close tautliner curtains after unloading before returning to the chevron.
- Ensure full trailers are left where required on the chevron/logistics place.
- Empty trailers to be left ready for hitching by prime movers.
- Ensure trailer numbers match load documentation
- Record all times relevant to arrivals, docking, and departure.
- Ensure pallet dockets are with trailer loads and are completed correctly.
- Complete the daily load sheet.
Hours will be:
- Monday to Friday | 10:00 am to 6: 00 pm
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE YOU WILL NEED
- Minimum 1year HC experience (Tug driving preferred, with finger dock experience)
- Extensive experience with coupling and uncoupling trailers
- Good understanding of load restraint
- High customer service skills, good communication, written and interpersonal skills
- Good knowledge of Chain of Responsibility and road transport legislation
- Mature attitude with the ability to work independently
