Your new role
Due to continued growth, an opportunity has become available for an experienced HR or MR Driver to join the Cairns team.In this role, you will be responsible for completing local pick-ups and deliveries across Cairns and surrounding areas, ensuring freight is delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. You will be the face of the business, providing exceptional customer service while maintaining the highest safety and compliance standards.
Key duties include:
- Local pick-up and delivery operations
- Loading and unloading freight
- Completing daily vehicle inspections and safety checks
- Accurate completion of delivery documentation
- Maintaining compliance with transport and safety regulations
- Providing excellent customer service to clients and customers
- Supporting warehouse and freight operations when required
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Current HR or MR Driving Licence
- Previous experience in a transport, freight, logistics, or delivery environment
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Ability to complete manual handling duties when required
- Forklift Licence is highly regarded but not essential
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, professional, and team-oriented attitude
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
