PB 30 Pty Ltd is a specialised premixed concrete transport company providing reliable and professional multi-combination and Heavy-combination truck services under subcontract agreements with major concrete suppliers across Australia. Operating from Hemmant in Brisbane’s port and industrial precinct, PB 30 supports local and regional infrastructure projects through safe, timely delivery of premixed concrete to construction sites.
We are currently seeking to employ an experienced HR/MC/HC/Concrete Agitator Driver on a full-time permanent basis. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of multi combination vehicles — including B-Double and heavy combination units — to transport premixed concrete between batching plants and customer sites.
This position is required due to ongoing growth in project demand and the need to maintain safe, compliant and reliable transport capacity within our fleet.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – MC/HC Driver – Construction / Quarry Transport:
- Operate heavy combination vehicles to transport premixed concrete, aggregates, and construction materials between quarries, plants, and job sites in Brisbane and surrounding regions
- Conduct daily pre-start and post-operation vehicle inspections, promptly reporting any mechanical, safety, or compliance issues
- Safely load and unload bulk materials using appropriate loading equipment and load restraint procedures, complying with site safety rules
- Plan routes and adhere to delivery schedules while complying with fatigue management, speed, and road transport laws
- Complete accurate delivery documentation, manifests, logbooks, and other required transport records
- Comply with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), NHVAS, and company safety policies at all times
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, presentation, and basic upkeep in line with company standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, quarry personnel, and site supervisors regarding delivery status, delays, or issues
- Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and ongoing driver training as required
ATTRIBUTES
- Valid Australian HV/HC/MC licence with a safe driving record
- Minimum 1 year recent experience operating heavy combination or similar heavy vehicles in construction, quarry, or related transport operations
- Demonstrated experience loading, transporting, and delivering concrete, aggregates, or similar construction materials
- Sound knowledge of road transport laws, fatigue management, and Chain of Responsibility obligations
- Ability to perform basic vehicle checks and minor troubleshooting
- Strong focus on safety, reliability, and professional conduct at customer and quarry sites
- Good communication skills and ability to follow dispatch instructions accurately
- Physically capable of performing manual handling and site-specific tasks safely
- Previous experience in premixed concrete, quarry, or civil construction transport will be highly regarded
Experience:
- Minimum 1 year recent experience operating heavy combination or similar heavy vehicles in construction, quarry, or related transport operations
