About the Position:
Our client is seeking an experienced Sales Representative to manage and grow an established WA customer portfolio. With an 80/20 focus on existing accounts and new business, you will build relationships, identify new opportunities and help customers choose the right instrumentation solutions for their sites, with extensive technical support from the HMA Instrumentation team. This is a highly autonomous role which offers flexibility and will require travel to Customer sites and offices throughout Western Australia and occasionally interstate. Comprehensive product and industry training will be provided as part of the on-boarding process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts.
- Identify and convert new business opportunities.
- Conduct customer visits and territory planning.
- Develop strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Represent industrial instrumentation solutions.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Senior Leadership
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline activity.
- Build strong, long-term customer relationships.
Skills and Experience:
- A trade, diploma or degree in instrumentation, electrical, engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience would be highly regarded but is not essential
- 5+ years experience working with instrumentation in mining, oil and gas or related industries, as a technician, engineer, vendor, contractor or on the customer side
- Instrumentation project or shutdown experience highly regarded
- Sales experience welcome but not essential.
- Confident building relationships with site and engineering teams
- Good communication skills and the confidence to talk with people at all levels on site or in head office.
- Well organised, self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- Current Drivers Licence
