Waiter

Kalgoorlie Overland Motel is a long-established motel and hospitality venue in Somerville, Kalgoorlie 6430, offering 92 air-conditioned rooms, seven-night buffet dining, bar facilities, catering services and function spaces for corporate, community and private events.
  
Kalgoorlie Overland Motel is now looking for an experienced Waiter to join their team.
  
The right candidate will be responsible for:

• Greeting and seating guests in the restaurant and function areas, providing menus and explaining available food and beverage options.
• Taking customer orders accurately and communicating them promptly to kitchen and bar staff.
• Serving meals and beverages efficiently during buffet dining, regular restaurant service, functions and events.
• Setting and preparing tables before service, including arranging cutlery, glassware, crockery and other dining requirements.
• Clearing tables, replacing used tableware and resetting dining areas throughout and after service.
• Monitoring guests during meals and responding promptly to requests to ensure a high standard of customer service.
• Assisting with buffet service by maintaining presentation standards, replenishing service items and keeping dining areas clean and organised.
• Processing customer payments and operating point-of-sale systems where required.
• Assisting with the setup and service of corporate functions, private events and other catered occasions.
• Communicating with kitchen and bar staff regarding special requests, dietary requirements and service timing.
• Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across dining, service and function areas.
• Following responsible service, food safety and workplace health and safety procedures at all times.

About you:

• At least one year of experience as a Waiter;
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional and attentive approach to guests.
• Good knowledge of restaurant and function service procedures, including table setup, meal service and clearing.
• Ability to take orders accurately and communicate effectively with kitchen, bar and other service staff.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with guests and team members.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy hospitality environment and manage multiple tasks during service periods.
• Good organisational and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to assist with buffet service, functions and events while maintaining presentation and service standards.
• Basic cash handling and point-of-sale system skills.
• Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and respond promptly to guest requests.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent;
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000;
